NYC FIRST Robotics Competition 3/16-3/18

Every year, the FIRST Robotics Competition is held at the Javits Center as part of the New York Regional. The competition is culmination of months of hard work in which high school students and their mentors attempt to build and program robots to participate in custom-designed FRC games. This year’s game, named ever so cleverly, is Rebound Rumble.

You can check out the rules and details of the game here: Rebound Rumble

This year’s competition looks even more fierce and exciting than previous years. Being a FRC Alumni myself, as an inaugural member for 2 years NYC Hunter College High School Robotics Team’s Team 3419 Rohawks, I am excited and can’t wait to be blown away by the incredible engineering feats achieved by simply high school students.

The competition is at:

March 16-18, 2012 – 9am-4:30pm
Jacob Javits Convention Center
655 West 34th St., New York, NY 10001
THIS EVENT IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
